Description
If your B58 / S58 has been tuned beyond 2.5bar (21.75psi boost) the factory sensor inside the intake manifold is maxed out and most tuners default to only using the boost pressure sensor in the charge pipe which has a higher limit of 4 bar (43psi boost). If you like to road race or do any sort of high performance driving there is a chance you’ve experienced power-train malfunction limp mode and had to pull over to re-start the car because of the pressure spikes in the charge pipe. During our efforts to help Pursuit motorsports develop their A90 supra we had to find a proper solution for this. Using our sensor kit the ECU can now read both the boost pressure pre-throttle body AND inside the intake manifold without ignoring a sensor. This kit can be purchased as a single sensor upgrade OR both sensors for the serious racers who wish to have matching sensors both on the intake manifold and the charge pipe. Our 6 BAR MAP sensor is good for up to 72psi (boost)
- The sensor has a stainless steel body and diaphragm, with male 1/8 -28 NPT Threads. Ideally made so you can screw the sensor directly to any aftermarket upgraded boost pipe that has available 1/8″ NPT ports.
- In order to use this sensor in the intake manifold you must have available 1/8″ NPT ports to thread the sensor on to the intake manifold.
- Alternatively you may use a 1/8″ NPT female to 1/4″ Male Barb adapter and use a vacuum line
- Adapter harness made with Txl wire & Raychem DR-25 insulation for the highest durability.
- includes flying lead connector color coded to A90 B58 wiring and detailed installation instructions.
The 6 BAR map sensor kit is available as a single sensor with either a short 10″ extension or a long 28″ extension harness, as well as a dual sensor kit with two sensors and both harnesses. The short harness is recommended for the boost pressure tube while the long 28″ harness was made to make a clean install of the upgraded sensor on the intake manifold side.
